Overview
Algeria's Mediterranean climate and fertile coastal plains produce exceptional vegetables that are highly sought after in European markets. EuroFresh Markets, a major European supermarket chain, approached us to establish a reliable year-round supply of fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, and zucchini.
The challenge was establishing a supply network that could handle seasonal variations, maintain strict quality standards, and ensure vegetables arrived at distribution centers within 48 hours of harvest to maximize shelf life and freshness.
We built partnerships with multiple farms across the Mitidja plain and coastal regions, implementing coordinated harvest schedules to ensure consistent supply. Our team established quality control checkpoints at each farm, introduced standardized grading systems, and implemented rapid cooling facilities to preserve freshness immediately after harvest.
The logistics network we developed includes refrigerated transport to Algiers port, expedited customs processing, and temperature-controlled shipping to European distribution hubs. This integrated approach has enabled us to consistently deliver premium vegetables that meet the stringent requirements of European retail standards.
